Certain dental procedures can cause extra anxiety in some patients. Prolonged dental procedures can also cause some patients to feel stressed. At Ora Dental Implant Studio, we understand that implant placement procedures can be involved and take more time than other dental procedures. We provide IV and conscious sedation for those patients who need it.
As one of the premier implant dentists in central California, Dr. Dalla understands that a patient’s time is valuable. We also understand that a trip to the dentist’s office is not high on most people’s lists of their favorite things to do. As such, our philosophy is driven towards patient care that reduces pain, minimizes inconvenience, and maximizes care, comfort, and luxury.

Traditionally, dentures have been the go-to option when a patient is missing teeth; dentures are cost effective, they’re fairly durable, and they provide a decent amount of functionality for several years. However, there are a few major problems with dentures. Since they’re glued onto the gums with high-strength adhesive, they are prone to moving and slipping over time. This movement causes friction on the gums, and can lead to bleeding, painful inflammation, and bone deterioration in the jaw. If left untreated, this poorly-functioning dentures can even lead to soft tissue disease. Full arch dental implants, on the other hand, are permanently anchored in place with titanium posts that are fused with the jaw – this means zero movement or slipping, even after decades of use. Since they’re anchored in place, dental implants also work to preserve the structure and integrity of the jaw bone. For patients suffering from missing teeth, dental implants are by far a superior restorative option.
Full arch dental implants are made of three key parts: the titanum implant post, the abutment, and the restoration. The titanium post is surgically inserted into the jaw to act as a tooth’s root. Once secured in place, an abutment is attached to the implant, which serves as a connecting piece between the implant and the restoration. The restoration is a strong, natural-looking replacement arch of teeth that look and feel just like natural teeth.
Thanks to state-of-the-art sedation and modern dental anesthesia, dental implant surgery is largely a pain-free experience. Powerful IV sedation puts patients into a dream-like state, and most patients do not even recollect falling asleep in the dental chair. After the surgery is completed, your new implants will fit, feel, and function just like regular teeth – meaning no pain and the ability to eat all of your favorite foods.
Yes. Even with patients that have bone loss, full arch dental implants are still possible with a bone grafting procedure or alveoloplasty, which helps to build up enough bone to accept an implant. Zygomatic implants are another option for patients with limited bone, and involves inserting the implant post(s) into the zygomatic bone rather than the maxilla (jaw bone).
Due to the number of variables that are present (for example any necessary tooth extractions, bone grafting procedures, etc) it is difficult to say exactly how much your dental implant procedure will cost. This is something that Dr. Dalla and our team of implant specialists will discuss with you during your initial consultation. Rest assured, however, that we work with patients of all financial backgrounds to develop a payment plant that will allow them to receive the care they need.
Yes! Full mouth dental implants are cared for just like your normal, natural teeth. With routine brushing and flossing, dental implants can provide decades to a lifetime of durable, reliable, every day use.
Full mouth dental implants are the gold standard for tooth replacement because they provide a stunning, 100% natural-looking smile and offer decades of strength, functionality, and reliability with little to no maintenance or repair. Dental implants also support a healthy oral biome, and work to preserve the structural integrity of the jaw while restoring up to 98% of the functionality of natural, healthy teeth..
The best way to get started is to call Ora Dental Implant Studio at our Elk Grove, CA, location and schedule a dental implant consultation with acclaimed implant specialist Dr. Devan Dalla. In a single office visit, Dr. Dalla will develop a unique, personalized treatment plan that will outline the steps we need to take to restore your smile and get you back on a path of brilliant, pristine oral health.
